Back in Black

“Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”

Today I got an email with the subject “a perfect day for running.” It made me think “gosh, wherever that person was who is the email master for Runners World must be somewhere where it’s fall right now.” Then I happened to look down at what I’m wearing and noticed (like I usually do in the fall/winter) that I’m wearing all black. I wore a jacket from my apartment to car today, and Matt wore a long-sleeved shirt out while taking our dog (that, tragically, we are only dog-sitting) on a walk this morning. Labor Day is over, friends! Summer has gone, it must be fall outside!

And so the love-affair begins…

In other news, Matt and I are leaving for Georgia the middle of October, so get your quality-time in now. It’s funny how decisions are… you wrestle and wrestle and wrestle, and then making the decision is like being set-free. No longer does it keep you up at nights, and make you freak out inappropriately towards anyone who will listen. It’s the deciding things that are hard to me. Once decided, even the scariest of things are easy to go forward with. At least that’s what happens in my life.

Also, if I miss most of fall (the colors, the crisp walks, enjoying being cold, hoodies, jackets, the mountains turning colors) because of this “Georgia” thing, I won’t be a happy girl. However, if this “Georgia” thing allows me a) a longer or b) TWO seasons of fall, my happiness will be great.

I bet fall in Georgia kicks fall in Utah in the butt! I love Fall too. I was excited at my cabin because it was nice and crisp up there. Then I looked at the 7 day forecast and it's still mid 80s to 90s this week. BOO!
