I have ulcers. Did I blog about this a little while ago? I forget. Not the point. The point is: for the last two months I haven't been able to work out. I mean, not at all. And it's not as if I'm "that girl" who just loves the gym and can't wait to go... But I am "that girl" who will eat a large cheese fry and then dessert... possibly twice. And so I see the need for regular gym attendance. You know, so as to not have to buy bigger clothes every three weeks. (I see that you see what I'm saying here, so I shall not elaborate further).
So anyway, I went to my acupuncturist who did NOT do acupuncture on me, but instead gave me (grossest ever) herbs to take. I went to said acupuncturist because I'm apparently not supposed to be in "pain" anymore from the ulcers (at least that is what my gastroenterologist would say if he could see me before the end of JUNE), and yet... pain still exists. (see no exercise for two months). None of this makes me happy. And one of the things that my special herbs that taste of unicorns does (yes, I tell myself that it tastes awesome like unicorns, but turns out unicorns taste HORRIBLE if this taste is essence of unicorn), is that it INCREASES MY DESIRE FOR FOOD.
Well, I hate to break it to my wonderful acupuncturist, but at this point, the lack of a normal appetite is the only thing keeping me from tipping the scale back to pre-weight-watchers-weight. And now is not the time to be chubby. Because the husband is coming back from "the stan" in like a month. LESS than a month, actually. Plus, I have a cruise I'm going on in like two months (purchased my first bikini ever for the occasion...). Clearly you can see my above-normal need to not a pint of Ben and Jerry's every night.
So how does one say to a doctor "I would like to feel better, but if you could just not fix THAT problem until the other one is cleared up, it would be great." Nope? Don't think anyone would buy that? I'd probably come off as a horrible and even-more-than-normally-superficial person? Yeah, I thought so too...
