This weekend I went to a new ward. This is always an interesting adventure - you just never know what you're going to get. And, as I was sitting on the second-to-back row, I glanced over my left shoulder to see none other than my ex-boyfriend Dallas Erekson sitting with an incredibly stunning Allison Shields on the bench just inside the door. (aside: Allison and I had lunch in November? where she told me they were dating again... no word on if this is still the case, but it looked like it from where I was sitting.) Dallas always had a thought that even though we dated for like... ever? okay, if you add it all up like a year and a half... that one day you would run-into your old friend/ex in a Wal-mart and have nothing to say to them.
And as I sat in sacrament meeting I thought (in the middle of only boring testimonies) just how right he was. And I always thought I was right... How is it that someone goes from the most IMPORTANT person in your life to someone who you wish well, but is a casual acquaintance?
Unfortunately for all people put in the "I just broke-up with someone" boat, the only answer I've got right now is space. Lots of lots of space. And time. Two things I didn't bring with me on this voyage.
On the positive side, I'm taking about 1/2 the day off next Tuesday, saying "screw you, work and responsibilities" and going to Lagoon. It's the most exciting thing to have happen to me in weeks.

Two things- I love Lagoon, and I love that I don't ever feel like we will ever be casual acquaintances.
Ashley came to my apartment today and told me that she saw you and Dallas at her ward. How weird is that!?
Hooray for Lagoon. You guys have fun.
Miss you.
Timms, I just discovered your blog. And I'm quite happy about it. There are some people whose thoughts should not be read, but yours... should. And will. By me.
Someday, I will start a blog. Well, I have one, but it's not my own. It's for my quartet. Someday, I'll think of something clever to say, and I'll start a blog. Until then, I just get to read yours!
Oh, by the way, this is Meili.
