Logically/Hypothetically to me, the following things should be true, but I have found they are not.
- If you exercise in the morning, you can eat what you want the rest of the day. I pretty much live by this motto, but it is false. Example, running 2 miles in the morning on some hills burns about 220 calories. So, no, I can’t add fries to my lunch and have pizza for dinner. Because, even with carry-over of burning residually more calories through your morning from the run, you’re still eating WAY less than you’re burning.
- Fat-free cheese tastes as good as regular cheese. This should be true. I couldn’t find full-fat Feta this week, and so bought the fat-free. It was horrible. But what did I expect since cheese is made from fats…
- If you plan on something happening for long enough, it will happen. Please see examples of PLANNING on knowing when I’m moving, or PLANNING on a time-frame in general with the Army.
- Cereal is healthy. I’m not sure if you realize how many calories are in “Oh’s.” I’m not sure I want to look it up to tell you. But it’s a breakfast cereal without a cartoon charictor on the box, so I believe it should be better for me than it is.
- If you wake up to exercise and leave the house to do it, but still don’t exercise, you should still get credit. Obviously you put forth the effort, but it didn’t burn extra calories. So “A for effort” doesn’t apply.
- If your boss is out of town, you’ll get to slack off all week. Apparently when my boss is out of town, I just have to do more work. I understand that when I have a real job and real responsibilities, but currently my job is to do anything my boss is supposed to do but doesn’t have time for. Apparently when he has time for nothing, I get to do almost everything.
- Moving is the same as a vacation. You would think that moving to a new place, discovering new places and people would be just as fun as a vacation, and totally fill that need inside of you to see foreign lands and meet foreign people… but it doesn’t. Even if the lands and people are very different from you… still doesn’t work.
That’s my list for this morning. Anything to add?

Your list seems like it should be true... and is.
And seriously? Never waste your money on fat-free cheese... especially because your body needs fat and cheese is a great way to get it. (Mmmm... I think I'll go eat some now. I don't care if it's 7:30 in the morning.)
Training for Ragnar will help you lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight. This should be true, but it isn't. Instead, training for Ragnar helps you gain 2 lbs because you figure since you're running so much you can eat whatever you want. This way of thinking was true when I trained for my 1/2 marathon. Why not now? Oh, because having a baby curses your body for-ev-er.
Oh Boy- hear you totally on the vacation vs. move. Its because you can't brush away any negatives with "Oh, this is for two weeks and then I'm going home." but instead,"Duh, this is now home." And I will be here forever-until there is a change in Army plans....which will occur sometime tomorrow morning.... lol
